Was There an Extra Planet In Our Solar System A Long Time Ago?

some astronomers think SO…

Apparently there is a theory that we had a large planet in our solar system billions of years ago.  Where did it go and how did they come to this conclusion?  Some astronomers are trying to put together the case in support of this theory.  And if they are right does this have anything to do with “planet x” and talk about such a planet in the last year?

This is the theory proposed by David Nesvorny from the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado, in The Astronomical Journal, and reported by Science Magazine and New Scientist. He first proposed his theory back in 2011, but has since revised it based on new data.

The key piece of evidence comes from a cluster of about 25,000 icy rocks called the “kernel” that reside in the Kuiper Belt, the region at the edge of the Solar System. While most of the trillion or so objects in the Kuiper Belt are scattered around the Solar System, the kernel orbits in the same plane as the planets. Until now, no one really knew why.

Ok so is this kernel enough evidence to follow through in this area of research or is this just too far out?  (no pun intended 😉 )

Could there actually have been another planet way out there?

This is fascinating let’s find out more and check out the video on page 2

A large planet – 4-5 times the size of Earth – with an orbit of 3690 years around the Sun. The ominous appearance of this large planet would bring new life to Earth. Wake up world !
