What happens if a black hole some how finds another black hole and they start trying to suck each other in?

Another commenter replied:

It becomes a binary black hole which basically means they form one huge black hole. A collision like this only exists in theories but scientists believe it can very well happen and when it does, it will be catastrophic. In other words, it will disturb the whole space-time continuum of the universe.
