Can Anything Go Faster Than the Speed of Light?

any opinion?

This is a really interesting scientific debate that examines the speed of light and possibilities of traveling faster.  There have been some far out explanations about black holes that can warp light and the like but perhaps is that faster or slower than light itself?  And recently there have been discussions about “tachyons” or some kind of mysterious cosmic particle that indeed does travel faster.

The ever adventurous scientific video maker “Vsauce” asks this very question.  His explanations and examples may surprise you.

Do you think he is too far out there or does he pose some strong examples to ponder over?

Let’s find out what the narrator thinks could go faster in the video on page 2

    Well I heard certain actually accomplish sending particles faster than the speed of light. I know you can send particles and inorganic matter as fast as the speed of light. But nothing living will survive the speed of light. Because once you reach the speed of light all matter turns to energy

    Well, Einstein said the faster something moves, or approaches the speed of light, the more mass it has. Does this not suggest that all mass is moving faster the speed of light?

    well if you consider two objects traveling at the speed of light, and they pass one another traveling in opposite directions, you now have “faster than the speed of light”.

    If you bent time and space with an extremely massive object in a tiny space. In theory passing through this would mean at some point the observation would see the object in two places at the same time proving that tge object is now moving faster than the speed of light as it took 0 seconds to move a distance

    If you did go faster than light no one could see it and you would be in the dark. Seems like time would be a factor and you woud need to be in a bubble of the present to survive it. There may be a whole eco-system that exist faster than light… not to go all out sci-fi.

    Spoof = speef

    Light is photons (a physical thing or collection of energy) wave particle duality.

    Light also has mass, and is bent via gravity, therefore gravity moves faster than light, it is also undetectable as a force wave. (before you say weight think about the fact that went is contextual to where you are weighing etc)

    I am no physicist, but every time a bunch of scientists (or anyone else for that matter) has drawn a line and said it was uncrossable, someone crossed it. It may take a few generations, but the speed of light will fall as well. Then there will be a new speed limit imposed to be conquered. To believe it is impossible, would be the only thing to guarantee it is never beaten.

    Riddle me this…. If a planet is orbiting a star, a force is holding it in place. It travels great distances therefore it is faster than any speed. It’s already there before you knew it. What is it?
