Does a Parallel Universe Exist?

Commenter WHS is skeptical and has a question in regards to this theory:

A theory of everything. How elegant. But it’s not really a theory of everything until it can explain where the two original membranes originated from, and it stems from the same problem as to how they struggled with answering where our current singularity would have come from. Meaning until they can explain how one membrane became two, and where the original universe came from, then it’s all wishful thinking. Because for this to work, there must be another membrane for the first membrane to collide against in the first place. Where did that membrane come from? How would we even begin to calculate its beginnings? Until we can answer that, multiverse theory is just a dream and nothing more, meaning we haven’t discovered

Commenter Ed Lake has this to say:

Also, if our universe is just one universe in an ocean of universes, is it the only one, or are there also infinite oceans of universes beyond our ocean of universes? Conversely, if you can shrink down small enough, would be able to find that ‘a leaf of grass is no less than the journey-work of the stars’?

This is a fascinating debate and one that will continue for a while in my opinion.  We hope you enjoy the video!
