Apparently science fiction is getting closer to reality. The the tractor beams we have seen in science fiction movies are now being examined by NASA. In addition they are partnering up and the company is called Arc Pax in a joint venture. They will be attempting a tractor beam that would be used for hover boards. This really is mind boggling.
Long known in science fiction, tractor beams may be used by NASA probes to pull in tiny particles for scientific study. “optical tweezers,” “optical solenoids,” and “Bessel beams” are each under study by NASA’s Innovative Advanced Concepts program.
