science fiction is now science reality?
Apparently a “mythical” creature has been discovered by these Russian researchers. You hay or may not have heard stories about a giant squid. Many cultures and plenty of American novels and sailors have spread stories about such a thing. Now one has been caught on video and it is awesome. Here is a bit more about the folklore that surrounds the finding:
During the 300 years spanning the 16th to the 19th century – the heyday of discovering new worlds and brutally colonising them – popular belief had it that the ocean harboured enormous sea monsters. From dragon-like sea creatures to colossal squids, like the mythical Kraken.
Are you ready to see this thing? What would you do if you saw this thing while swimming? Just kidding.
This seriously sounds like something from an old pirate novel or a mythical story.

Mythical squid but shows s picture of an octopus. It’s so odd how these true mythical beasts manage to look so “un mythical beast like” when actually presented to us. Even the largest specimens seems to look like a weird fat sow rolling around in the ocean with short stubby excuses for tentacles,a far cry from the writhing mass of medusa like tentacles and huge cyclopean eyes that clung to the Nautilus. But then again I suppose I wouldn’t look so great either if a giant squid spotted me floating around in the water
