It seems like the core of a lot of these devices are based on the boundary layer effect in attempting to run more efficiently than other turbines.  Below are some of the items this home inventor uses in this device:

• 2 sets of 5 rectangular ceramic base magnets

• 2 sets of 3 ring magnets on the shaft

• rotor 12 smooth disks, 1’75” in diameter

• small DC generator belt driven off floating end of shaft

• 10 dual color leds run off generator

• (the shaft is supported by magnetic force)

With the generator belt removed it runs at 14,750 rpm @ 50 psi.  It runs at 11,000 + rpm under load.
