The quest for hover awesomeness may have really began with the Back To The Future Movie where a futuristic Michael J Fox outran his foes on a hover board.  Then the inevitable viral parodies took hold, none more famous than the celebrity endorsed hoax which upset a lot of people.  Now this company may actually have a product available in 2017!

The Aero-X hover bike will hit the market in 2017 allowing riders to fly over the ground. Hover vehicles are not a new idea, but none have been successful. That will change in 2017. Then, the Aero-X hovercraft will hit the market, allowing riders to fly over the ground.
