They Sent “Space Messages” to the Edge of the Solar System

Why is no one talking about this?

434,738 people who participated in this bizarre experiment.  There were also some other “questionable details” in regards to this particular endeavor!  Very few people are talking about this.  Apparently some scientists came up with a bright idea to send some names to Pluto….seriously.  Here is a bit more detail on this unusual idea they had:

The New Horizons probe is carrying a CD-ROM with the names of 434,738 people who participated in a “Send Your Name to Pluto” campaign.  It’s also carrying a portion of the ashes of Clyde Tombaugh, who discovered Pluto in 1930.

Well I guess that is one way to honor a person by sending them to Pluto.  Not too many people have had that happen 😉

Here is a pic of the type of satellite that S.E.T.I. may have used

Also in 1974 is when S.E.T.I. really started getting a lot of headlines.

Let’s find out what happened with these messages in the video on page 2

So useless. Even if there are others somewhere in space. What make you think they speak any of our languages, use our numbers, or even have the right technology to receive our messages???

No one is talking about this because, there is nothing new here with this story. If some ET’s brought the cd-rom back, to ask how to read it, then someone would be talking about this. Old news!

    You’re useless.
    1. We’ve broadcasted enough that any intelligent life in the solar system could easily decode our language.
    2. Numbers are universal. They are not a human invention. They are one thing we can be CERTAIN of that other intelligent 3 dimensional lifeforms WILL understand.
    3. If they possess intelligence it is only a matter of time until they begin to utilize the electromagnetic spectrum of light+radio communication.
