Top 10 Underwater Mysteries

The Indiana Jones series of movies are the most well known that show how politics can get involved with archaeology.

This commenter makes an astute comment about one of the sites in the video:

This Cuban underwater “city” is something I havent heard of before, but it sure is worth exploring, if scientists really deemed this case to be a real one, and not some natural feature in the bottom of the sea. And luckily there are many submersibles which can reach that place without any difficulties. Since it is on Cuban waters, I must assume that this place has been known by at least the Cubans, and the US navy for some time already. These underwater “lanes” have been trafficked by many over the years for sure, altough it doesnt necessarily mean anybody paid close attention to this site much at all. Politics can unfortunately ruin exploration of different areas all too easily, since all it takes is one government to say -“nobody goes down there, this is on our waters, and national security dictates that…”, and I can somehow understand that too in some cases depending on the circumstances ofcourse. But I still try to remain optimistic about the exploration of this place, and similar odd places whatever it might turn out to be un the future.'”
