The 3D printing revolution is already disrupting the process of manufacturing and growing at a super fast rate.  Now we have 4D printing.  Wat what?  Yes that is correct in in this case, the 3D printed materials can move, representing the 4th dimension…time.  Eventually there will probably be frameworks or embedded repositories within the materials that could be open sourced like linux.

U.S. Army Research Office has just thrown some money the way of 4D printing—but what, exactly, is all the fuss about? This beautiful video goes a long way to showing us why the technology is so exciting.
