Astronomers are Launching a New “Exoplanet Finder” and it…

The comments are all over the place and yet actually quite inquisitive.  It is encouraging to see clever ideas and questions as well as interest in the possibilities out there!

Was thinking the same thing. By this standard, in time we’ll have the Unfathomably Large Telescope, the Brain Hemorrhageingly Large Telescope and the So Large That It Seems To Make Reality Crack At The Seams… Telescope.

I think it’s because of the same reason we limit our search for life to water filled planets. It’s just easier to examine properties that we have studied and know about, considering the vastness of the universe. I agree with you though the possibilities of vegetation existing in multi colours as well as life forms beyond what we know is far more interesting than other earth like alien worlds.
Enjoy the video and this may be one of the more exciting developments in astronomy.
