Have You Heard of the Phenomenon Called “Red Sprites”?

Commenter CH had this to say about the video:

The mentioning of Gravity Waves at 2:20 seem to have caused some confusion in the comments. To clear things up: They meant Gravity Waves which are a phenomenon of Fluid Dynamics, not Gravitational waves which are a (theoretical) phenomenon of General Relativity. They are called gravity waves because the waves are created when a density difference in a fluid (in this case the athmosphere) are equalized by gravity.

Commenter BH had this to say although he seems somewhat sarcastic in his response

Thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering why scientists were spending so much time and effort on LIGO when all this time they could have been looking at thunderstorms to find gravitational waves. lol.

What are your ideas in relation to gravity waves?  Feel free to comment.
