Wow the team at MIT does it again.  The structure in this video actually looks like the inside of a data center with a bunch or racked blade servers.  However, it is an experimental surface that may be the future of coffee tables, kitchen tables and furniture around the world.  The transformative surfaces may have endless possibilities that span beyond furniture.
