Woman Can Light Her Sink Water On Fire…Not Good

The woman takes a standard kitchen match to her water and feels it is from methane contamination specifically.  Specifically they are addressing Chesapeake Energy in their concerns and feel the tests of methane and gas levels are not random and definitely due to the fracking.  What’s even gnarlier as lighting the sink water on fire is the actual glass of gassed water.  This gives a new meaning to the question “With bubbles or flat?” that a waiter or waitress may ask a patron at fancy restaurants.  The group here is the Gas Drilling Awareness Coalition.

Is this fact or is there another reason for this phenomenon?  Also with the move to hybrid vehicles, the hyperloop that they are discussing in California and other alternative energy possibilities, how long will we even be discussing such issues until they become irrelevant?  Feel free to post any opinions in favor or against fracking in the comments.

I had well water at a house I rented and the water would burn. It’s natural methane in the well. Harmless as long as you don’t light it 😛

They actually found out later that the lady in that documentary had a waterline that was drilled in a has pocket and actually had nothing to do with Hydraulic Fracturing.

This happens a lot when natural gasses mix with water wells and lines. It happens in all sorts of places around the country (and the world)
